N ORMAN — Linebacker Kobie McKinzie, who exited OU's game against Ole Miss on Saturday, is dealing with a groin injury, head coach Brent Venables said during his coach's show on Monday. McKinzie was jogging at practice Monday and the Sooners are "hopeful" he'll return to action Saturday at Tennessee.

A week after the Sooners took a big step, they had a chance to take an even bigger one against Ole Miss. Instead, OU is left with regrets.

The Oklahoma Sooners are still looking to add to their 2026 recruiting class a couple of months out from the early signing period.
