The Minnesota Twins have officially gone into selling mode, trading pitchers Chris Paddack and Randy Dobnak to the Detroit Tigers

DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers have acquired right-handed pitcher Chris Paddack from the Minnesota Twins three days before the MLB trade deadline. Paddack will join the Tigers’ rotation and start Wednesday’s game at Comerica Park against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Phillies traded for Tigers outfielder Brewer Hicklen in exchange for cash considerations and optioned him to Triple-A. Is the early move a hint that the Phillies might call up top prospect Justin Crawford soon?

The matchup on the mound for this contest is set with the Minnesota Twins looking to Simeon Woods Richardson (5-4), and Richard Fitts (1-4) getting the nod for the Boston Red Sox. The Twins lost their most recent game against the Nationals by a 9-3 score Saturday.

It's Monday, July 28 and the Red Sox (57-50) are in Minneapolis to take on the Twins (50-55). Richard Fitts is slated to take the mound for Boston against Simeon Woods Richardson for Minnesota. Boston is 4-5 since the break and won the last two games coming against the Dodgers to take that series.
