More than 50,000 Los Angeles county workers began a two-day strike Monday evening, closing libraries and disrupting administrative operations across the nation’s most populous county.

Tens of thousands of unionized Los Angeles County workers have officially started their two-day strike as they continue to fight for a new contract.

A new wildfire was reported today at 8:49 p.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. Currently, there is no information on the containment of the fire and the cause of it has yet to be determined.
