DALLAS — Jose Fernandez was officially named the next Dallas Wings ' next head coach, the team announced Monday. Fernandez will fill the role that became vacated when the team fired its previous coach, Chris Koclanes, after just one season on the Wings bench.

The Wings, who have had just one winning season since the franchise moved to North Texas, hope Fernandez will help them take flight.
