A historic winter storm in south Alabama on Tuesday brought well over 6 inches of snow to the region and many counties to advise against civilians driving on the roads. Due to the weather conditions many schools throughout the state closed or were delayed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Bone-chilling cold and slippery secondary roads closed Flint-area schools for the third straight day on Thursday, Jan. 23.

School closings and delays are coming in across the Pittsburgh area with another day of below-freezing temperatures in the forecast.
