Iranian Kurdish dissidents have been watching from abroad for signs that the government in Tehran might falter after the 12-day Israel-Iran war.

But that is what happened in the middle of the night on June 23rd, the 12th day of a war between Israel and Iran. Donald Trump announced the end of the war on social media (where else?), saying that the combatants had begged him to make peace.

The president announced a truce and Israel later said its airports were returning to full activity and it was lifting restrictions on civilian movements.
