SAO PAULO (AP) — President Donald Trump’s threat to boost import taxes by 50% on Brazilian goods could drive up the cost of breakfast in the United States. The prices of coffee and orange juice — two staples of the American morning diet — could be severely impacted if there’s no agreement by Aug. 1.
"I’ll be watching the WITCH HUNT of Jair Bolsonaro, his family, and thousands of his supporters, very closely," Trump stated. "The only Trial that should be happening is a Trial by the Voters of Brazil — It’s called an Election." The one area where Trump and Bolsonaro differ is in their pre-politics past.
“The way that Brazil has treated former president Bolsonaro, a Highly Respected Leader throughout the World during his Term, including by the United States, is an international disgrace,” Trump wrote to Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
