Cam York and the Philadelphia Flyers have agreed to terms on a five-year contract worth $25.75 million, according to a person with knowledge of the deal. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the agreement has not been announced.

The Philadelphia Flyers agreed to a five-year, $25.7 million contract extension with defenseman Cam York, the NHL franchise announced Monday.

The 24-year-old's deal is worth an average annual value of $5.15 million. York will be looking for a fresh start and bounce-back year under Rick Tocchet after things turned sour with John Tortorella.
