Some frozen Wegmans chicken nuggets may be contaminated with bone fragments, the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) warned in a Monday public health alert.

On Jan. 24, Wegmans issued a recall for its store-brand frozen, breaded chicken breast nuggets over possible contamination with extraneous material, specifically bone fragments.

FSIS issued the alert after Wegmans received numerous complaints from consumers about bone fragments in the nuggets. So far, there have been no confirmed reports of injuries.
