SPRINGFIELD - On Friday morning, the Springfield Thunderbirds and St. Louis Blues announced the extension of their affiliation agreement through the end of the 2030-31 season. The deal further solidifies the long-term future of the American Hockey League in Springfield, one of the league’s charter cities.

On Friday, the team announced that they and the St. Louis Blues have extended their affiliation agreement through the end of the 2030-2031 season. Since first playing as a Blues affiliate in the 2021-2022 season,

Jordan Kyrou scored the game-winning goal with 3:17 remaining in overtime. Kasperi Kapanen and Philip Broberg each had a goal and an assist, supporting Jordan Binnington's 17 saves.

Jordan Kyrou scored in overtime to lift the St. Louis Blues to a 4-3 win over the visiting Dallas Stars at Enterprise Center on Thursday night. Kyrou scored on a great setup by Robert Thomas, answering back after blowing a 3-1 third period lead.

Though it took the St. Louis Blues an extra 1:40, they became the first team to beat the Stars this fall after winning 4-3 at the Enterprise Center. That doesn’t mean it was a wash for Dallas; rookie Logan Stankoven took matters into his own hands with two goals in the third period to send the game into overtime in the first place.
