Police remain at the scene of a security alert in east Belfast on Wednesday morning after the discovery of a suspicious object at playing fields on Church Road.

Police are in attendance at a security alert after a "suspicious object" was found at the playing fields used by East Belfast GAA. It is the second security alert at the Henry Jones Playing Fields in the Church Road area in two days. Previous security alerts were reported in the area earlier this year.
