Torrey Pines Golf Course will host the Genesis Invitational next month after the PGA Tour moved the tournament from Riviera Country Club due to the deadly Palisades fire.

The PGA Tour is relocating the Genesis Invitational out of wildfire-ravaged Los Angeles, announcing Friday it will be held Feb. 13-16 on the South course at Torrey Pines in San Diego with an emphasis on relief initiatives for victims of the fires.

The PGA Tour announced Friday that next month’s Genesis Invitational, which traditionally has been played at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., will be moved to Torrey Pines outside San Diego because of the fires that have ravaged the Los Angeles area.

Keeping the tourney in California and the proximity to Riviera Country Club were primary factors for selecting Torrey Pines for the Feb. 13-16 to the event.

The PGA Tour made official what Golfweek reported earlier this week — that the 2025 Genesis Invitational will head down I-405 from its usual home at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades to Torrey Pines (South Course) in La Jolla, near San Diego.

Tiger Woods’ PGA golf tournament is moving from the Los Angeles area to San Diego as a result of the fires ravaging Southern California. This year, the Genesis Open — traditionally played at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades — will instead head to the famed Torrey Pines Golf Course,
