Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George is expected to miss the start of the 2025-26 season, according to NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN. George is recovering from left knee surgery.

George underwent arthroscopic surgery in mid-July after sustaining a knee injury in an offseason workout. The star forward has since returned to practice and has participated in some 5-on-5 work, though 76ers head coach Nick Nurse recently provided an alarming update on his status for opening night.
