A wildfire in California’s Modoc County has exploded in size, growing by more than 10,000 acres on Monday, the U.S. Forest Service says.

The Caldwell Fire is part of the July Complex, a cluster of fires in Modoc County that ignited during a lightning storm on Wednesday.
