Los Angeles Lakers star player LeBron James turned 40 in December 2024. However, his age did not impact his performance on the court. He continued to show stellar efforts for the Lakers during the 2024-25 NBA season.

Despite the team's early playoff exit, James' individual excellence did not go unnoticed. The NBA announced that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder won the 2024-25 MVP award, with Nikola Jokic finishing second and Giannis Antetokounmpo rounding out the top three.
