CHARLOTTE, N.C. — James Cook ran for a career-high 216 yards and two touchdowns, Josh Allen accounted for three scores and the Buffalo Bills returned from their bye with a resounding 40-9 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
Both Matt Milano and Terrel Bernard were out, but the Bills still used plenty of three-linebacker sets with Shaq Thompson, Dorian Williams and Joe Andreessen getting the bulk of it. Cole Bishop was also part of the solid run defense and he led the Bills with seven tackles while Williams had six and Andresseen five.
