Hillgrove three-star EDGE Chris Carbin has committed to Florida State, he tells Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett. Carbin chose the Seminoles after decommitting from Georgia Tech last month. He also considered Auburn this fall.

JaCobian Morgan was injured last week against Grambling State and was in a walking boot on the sideline. His status was unknown heading into tonight's game. Behind him on the JSU depth chart are redshirt freshman Parker Stofa and true freshman Jared Lockhart, both of whom played in relief of Morgan last week.

Miami is a respectable 24-7 in August through October under fourth-year coach Mario Cristobal. But when the calendar flips to November, problems mount. That was the story again Saturday, when the No. 10 Hurricanes fell 26-20 in overtime at SMU, dropping the Hurricanes to 4-11 in Novembe r and December under Cristobal's direction.
