Here is the full injury report for Paul George and the Philadelphia 76ers as they take on the Boston Celtics on Friday to begin the NBA Cup.
The Celtics on the offensive end are shooting 44.6 FG% (7th worst in NBA) and 33.1 3P% (8th worst in NBA). Some of their players who have normally been reliable shooters are way down in efficiency this year, such as Derrick White and Payton Pritchard.
With their recent run of successful seasons, the Celtics have not had a top 10 draft pick, or even one higher than No. 14, since they took Tatum at No. 3 in 2017. On Thursday, however, they gave a powerful vote of confidence to their 2024 first-round pick, taken at No. 30 overall out of Creighton.
With Scheierman’s option picked up, the Celtics now have eight players under contract for next season, plus team options for Minott, Neemias Queta and Jordan Walsh. Boston will visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night in its first 2025 NBA Cup game.
Philadelphia has won its first four games in stark contrast to last season's 24-58 campaign - the team's worst season in nearly a decade. Of course, the Sixers were hammered by injuries in 2024-25, including long-term ailments for Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid.
