Cale Makar scored two goals, Gavin Brindley had the go-ahead score early in the third period and the Colorado Avalanche beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 on Saturday night.

Makar logged two power-play assists and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Hurricanes. Makar had gone four games without a multi-point effort. The defenseman had a hand in both of Brock Nelson's tallies during the Avalanche's third-period rally.
