The crew members were in a "confined space" on board a moored barge when their coworkers lost contact with them, the Coast Guard said.
The U.S. Coast Guard has identified two people who died Sunday while working in a confined space on a freight barge near Ketchikan.
Two of the four crewmembers in the confined space were recovered and are in stable condition. The other two were recovered and later died. The investigation is ongoing.
