Burns’ torn ACL wasn’t a true non-contact injury. But he didn’t exactly take on a vicious block while pass rushing early in the fourth quarter. After Burns got blocked in the backfield, as he put pressure on his right leg, his knee buckled. No opponent crashed into his leg and forced it to bend awkwardly. So this was really a semi-contact injury.
Giants pass rusher Brian Burns is believed to have torn his ACL during Sunday's win over the Titans, sources told ESPN and NFL Network.
