Search-and-rescue operations along the Guadalupe River were halted Sunday after a new round of heavy rain led to more high-water rescues and prompted fears that waterways could surge again above their banks.

Around 6-10 inches of rain fell across the region over the weekend causing floods that prompted rescues and evacuations.

A slow-moving storm set off flood warnings in several regions of the Hill Country, including Kerr County, the area hit hardest by the July 4 floods.
