Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning won the Ted Lindsay award as the NHL’s most outstanding player as chosen by his peers. The NHL Players' Association announced the honor Wednesday. Kucherov and Colorado teammates Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar were the finalists for the trophy as voted on by members of the NHLPA.

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov was named the winner of the Ted Lindsay Award for the second time in his career.

The only NHL award completely decided by the players goes to the Lightning forward following his second straight scoring title.
