Miami gets left with more than $25 million in dead cap money off of Ramsey's current contract if he's traded before June 1. Pulling a trade after that June date slices the dead cap value to $6.75 million. The Dolphins also would yield $9.9 million in salary cap space.

Earlier this offseason, Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said the team and former All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey mutually agreed to explore trade options. "We decided it was probably in the best interest for all parties to move forward [separately]," Grier said last month .
