The St. Clairsville Red Devils and the West Muskingum Tornados met at McFarland Stadium in Cambridge of the 4A District Title. The Red Devils came out on top with a 3-1 win over the Tornados. St. Clairsville will head back to Cambridge next week for regional play.

Red Springs (9-7, 4-2 Southeastern Athletic Conference) falls into a tie for first place in the conference standings with Whiteville and South Brunswick. The Red Devils split two meetings with South Brunswick, and both remaining regular-season games are against Whiteville, with the first next Monday in Red Springs.

The Devils were off Saturday after earning their seventh straight win Friday night, when Dougie Hamilton scored twice in a 3-1 victory over the visiting San Jose Sharks. The Avalanche are completing a back-to-back road set after falling to the Boston Bruins, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon.

What a difference a week makes on the gridiron for the Lake Linden- Hubbell Lakes. A week ago, the Lakes were on the receiving end of a lopsided loss (42-12) to the Gogebic Miners. On Saturday, the dished out a 64-28 lopsided loss to the Ironwood Red Devils.
