Carl Weathers’ Chubbs Peterson was also slated to return, until the actor died last year. So this film features the character’s son Slim Peterson (Lavell Crawford), who, like his father, sports a prosthetic hand that has the inconvenient propensity for falling off.

Happy Gilmore 2 released early Friday morning, providing a sequel to the classic golf film released in 1996. The film stars actor Adam Sandler as well as various returning actors from the original movie like Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald and Ben Stiller.

There are some solid running jokes that never get old in Happy Gilmore 2, showing just how much director Kyle Newacheck and writers Sandler and Tim Herlihy understand what makes these characters great. The latter two wrote and created the original movie, and they once again strike gold with their return to this zany universe.
