Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe is considering a proposal to ban cell phones in public schools during the school day.
A previous version of this story incorrectly listed the years Christopher Bond served in the U.S. Senate. He was elected in 1986 and was re-elected in 1992, 1998 and 2004. He served from 1987 to 2011.
Kehoe's office announced that Christopher S. "Kit" Bond died on Tuesday at the age of 86. Bond served as Missouri's governor from 1973 to 1977 and from 1981 to 1985. He then went on to the U.S. Senate, where he was elected in 1986. He was reelected in 1992, 1998 and 2004. Roy Blunt followed his term.
