LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville men's basketball program is heading into the 2025-26 season with a lot of expectations. Ranked as the No. 11 team in the country and picked to finish second in the preseason ACC poll, the Cardinals not only have legitimate aspirations of winning the ACC, but contending for a Final Four and even a national title.
No. 11 Louisville showed fight Friday night against No. 19 Kansas in exhibition action, but the Cardinals came up short.

No. 19/19 Kansas will face No. 10/11 Louisville in exhibition play on Friday, Oct. 24, at 6:30 p.m. CT at KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The contest will be televised on the ACC Network with Dave O’Brien and Seth Greenberg calling the action.
On paper, Peterson and Kohl Rosario are good shooters. Peterson delivered on Friday, going 6-for-10 (60%) on 3-pointers. Rosario, however, didn’t make a 3-pointer in three attempts. That’s not anything to worry about, as the freshman looked nervous.
