The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced he had ordered immediate " forceful strikes " in Gaza following a meeting with his senior security ministers.

The Israeli military said on Wednesday it conducted a "targeted" strike in the area of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip targeting an infrastructure site where weapons were stored.

Netanyahu called the return of these body parts a “clear violation” of the ceasefire agreement, which requires Hamas to return the remaining hostages in Gaza as soon as possible.
