GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The 2025 high school football season officially gets underway in less than one week, with Monday, Aug. 11 marking the first day of practices for Michigan teams. For Belding, that day begins a quest for a fourth consecutive conference title, but the Black Knights figure to have some stiff competition in the OK Silver.

Here’s a look at the Hoover High School football team in 2025, including its schedule, expected top players and what coach Brian Baum expects.

The OHSAA state playoffs pairings are announced Oct. 26 and the postseason begins Friday, Oct. 31. The postseason culminates in the OHSAA state championship games, Dec. 4-6 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton.
