Tennessee running back Dylan Sampson headed back to the locker room early before halftime after suffering an apparent ankle injury vs. Mississippi State. Sampson went down after his left leg appeared to bend in an awkward position after a hit late in the second quarter.

Tennesee quarterback Nico Iamaleava did not return in the second half after suffering an upper body injury against Mississippi State.

Gaston Moore started the second half for Tennessee, and ESPN reported that Iamaleava had been ruled out for the remainder of the game with an “upper body injury.
