ACC/SEC Challenge was an unmitigated disaster for the ACC, which limped to a 2-14 mark in the second year of the challenge. It portended the doom that was to come for the ACC, which had just one of its four teams survive the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

This will be the third season of the ACC-SEC Challenge. The SEC leads the ACC 21-9 in the last two seasons, including a 14-2 domination of the ACC last season.

The defending national champion Florida men’s basketball team will visit powerhouse Duke next December in matchup of schools with a combined eight national titles.
