Handing the Trump administration a second straight day of losses against its promise to end congestion pricing, a judge ruled this week that New York must be allowed to indefinitely keep tolling drivers below 60th Street in Manhattan.

The transportation secretary and other Republicans hit a speed bump in their efforts to stop New York from charging drivers for entering parts of Manhattan.

New York’s congestion pricing program is likely to stay in place through late 2025 while a federal judge decides whether the Trump administration can stop New York from charging motorists to enter Manhattan’s busiest streets.
