In the era of television, it's always been a bit of a challenge to fill up the stands at college bowl games. But now, it appears that it's difficult to fill out major stadiums even for College Football Playoff bowl games, especially when there is not a month or so of planning for fan bases to make the trek to the game.

Thursday's Sugar Bowl game between No. 7 Notre Dame and No. 2 Georgia. Penn State never trailed against Boise State, building a 14-0 lead in the first quarter before taking a 17-7 lead into the half.

Penn State is a win away from the national title game.
