Bev Priestman is out as head coach of the Canadian women's soccer team in the wake of an independent report into the Olympic drone-spying scandal.

The fallout from the Canadian women's soccer drone scandal at the 2024 Olympic Games continues months after the event's conclusion.

An independent review of drone use by a staff member of Canada's women's soccer team at this year's Paris Olympics showed a "pattern of unacceptable culture" and lack of oversight, Canada Soccer said on Friday.

For years, members of Canada's national soccer teams have used drones to spy on their opponents and obtain sensitive information illegally. Radio-Canada's Enquête has found that there was a "culture" of spying at Canada Soccer made possible by the "strong pressure" placed on employees,
