Barca's president is feeling the effects of Olmo's registration issues, with several groups of members asking his board to step down

Barcelona will be taking La Liga to court yet again after the league has ruled that Dani Olmo and Pau Victor can't be registered until the summer due to Barcelona not having enough space under the La Liga salary cap following the expiration of their injury exemptions.

Barcelona winger Raphinha said on Tuesday that the Dani Olmo registration debacle might deter potential future signings from joining the Catalan giants. Financially struggling Barcelona is urgently trying to get the Spanish playmaker registered for the second half of the season after his licence expired at the end of 2024.

Raphinha has said that players “would probably think twice” about coming to Barcelona after Dani Olmo and Pau Victor were de-registered from their first-team squad. On January 4, Barcelona were planning to file a complaint to the Spanish government in their final attempt to register the two players after La Liga and the Spanish Federation (RFEF) refused to alter their stance on the registrations.

As Barcelona are still unable to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor with the January transfer window swinging open, uncertainty grows about what the club may do moving forward.
