Here's what OKC Thunder's new $1 billion arena will look like

The new arena plan, which features a 360-degree skyline view and is designed just for NBA basketball, was revealed at OKC Mayor David Holt's State of the City address Wednesday, July 16. It was designed by architect David Manica, and is expected to open for the Thunder's 2028-29 season.

New OKC Thunder arena to downsize in capacity from Paycom Center

Afterward, Holt revealed a ballpark estimate of the new arena's capacity. He said it will likely be in the 17,000 range, a downgrade from Paycom Center's 18,203 number. The arena will be larger, though, by around 200,000 square feet.
