The Detroit Lions officially began training camp Sunday, with the team hosting its first practice open to media. As a result, it was the first look at the 2025 edition of the Lions in full, though some key players are beginning the year on injury lists as they rehab toward full health.

The Lions and the Los Angeles Chargers – their upcoming Hall of Fame Game opponent – are the earliest two teams to begin their full training camps. The two teams will face off on July 31 to start the NFL preseason. Head coach Dan Campbell was optimistic as he greeted media in his fifth year at the helm of the team.
