Interstellar Comet 3I/ATLAS Zooms Through The Solar System In New Timelapse Video
The comet was discovered by the NASA -funded Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS) survey telescope in Chile on July 1, and it's currently within Jupiter's orbit. According to NASA, it will pass just inside the orbit of Mars in October, about 240 million kilometres away from Earth.
