The Woodward Classic takes place in the suburbs. I will be there again in the parade on Friday night, August 17, riding in my cousin's classic 65 Chevyconvertible. Saturday has two lanes on Woodward dedicated to only classic cars. On Saturday, we sit it out and watch the classic cars go by. Detroit has undergone a renovation and is doing well. I stay at the Marriott in downtown Detroit at the "Ren Center" and use Uber to meet up with family. Never felt unsafe.
We will be visiting the area for the 2018 Dream Cruise. Anyone have a hotel suggestion?? We would love to be able to walk to Woodward as opposed to driving in and parking. Thanks all!
