Most PrePaid carriers have separate pins for specific monthly plans. Verizon PP works off the available balance in your account, not a specific plan pin. It will only take out of your balance the plans $ amount every month.

WEBMay 8, 2021 · Swapping like plans in like devices usually doesn’t cause many problems. What causes problems is when you go throwing a sim with a phone plan or iPad data plan into a hotspot. Throwing a data connect sim from one hotspot to another shouldn’t be an issue just like swapping a phone plan sim from one phone to another isn’t an issue.

However, I travel a lot for work so I was wondering IF I could use the LTE Sim out of the spare phone (Nexus) and put it in a VZ tablet (IPAD 4 or XYBoard) and the Mifi Jetpack.

At this point, it seems like Verizon doesn't even want to grandfather any people in—I could see price hikes for folks holding on to much older plans, but these are ones that someone could've conceivably signed up for this past October.

I think I got a defective one because the wifi keeps dropping and the device keeps resetting its self randomly. I will be exchanging it on Monday.

In terms of MiFi plans, I currently have two favorites: Low usage: Freedompop's $3.99 tier for 500MB on Sprint Heavy usage: Millenicom $79.99 tier for 50GB (soft cap) on Sprint or $69.99 for 20GB (hard cap) on Verizon.
