WEBOct 29, 2020 · Hi, As far as I'm aware there are no HDMI 2.1 to DP 1.4 converters, HDMI 2.0 to DP 1.4 doesn't exist either. Also, you can't just do this kind of thing with any cable. The adaptor has to be 'Active' (i.e. powered). Plus, it has to be the right direction. The cable must be HDMI to Display Port. A DP to HDMI won't work.

WEBFeb 11, 2021 · My suspicion is that to "fix" this bug, NVIDIA disabled Display Stream Compression entirely. It seems to be supported by posts on their forums. Display stream compression (DSC) is mainly used in 8k monitors and 4k 120hz monitors operating in HDR mode, and in 4k 120hz displayport-> HDMI 2.1 adapters.
